Never Avoid Obstacles

Every morning I wake up at 6:30am and read my daily devotion book, my Bible and I watch a motivational video about success on YouTube.
Today my video was called 'Turn your Struggles into Strengths' and it was definitely worth watching.  It talked about how in life we often look at the obstacles that come our way as something to avoid, but they are always the things that push us into achieving what we need to and are meant to achieve.
The woman that spoke about this used the analogy of lifting weights and using resistance to grow stronger. She has spent her life wanting to be on the cover of a fitness magazine to inspire women all over the country the way that she was inspired, but when she was rejected by all the magazines she applied for every year she almost gave up. Until she realized that this what just another struggle that she could use to push herself to happiness.
In my life my obstacles seem pretty insignificant to be honest. I know that the problems or struggles I see my myself facing on a day to day basis are what hold me back from being what or who I want to be, but when I look back on them they seem small. So what is the difference between seeing them in the moment and in retrospect?
My problems are like laziness, controlling my emotions, managing media time and making money(still without a job by choice) without spending it. Sometimes I feel like my problems are too small for me to bother solving them and I don't have enough of a reason or way to use them to my advantage. Like once I move out and have to pay bills or start working and have responsibilities, that's when  I will really make a difference. But I know that it's truly the opposite, Jim Kwik says 'The way you do anything is the way you'll do everything' and lately this quote has been inhabiting my mind and causing me me think about the way I live my life and I realized that I'm not actually a failure or a horrible person. I have hopes and dreams and I do things to get to them. But it's what I do every day, the little things that make up who I am as a person a how I deal with my small struggles that will determine how I deal with my big struggles.
So I have made a decision this morning. To treat every thing that I face as an opportunity to make myself into who I want to be, to practice turning obstacles into challenges that I can use to better my life.
This is how I plan to never avoid obstacles, even the smallest ones.
